Lamborghini Aventador S Roadster revealed Image Gallery

Lamborghini  has raised the roof with its new £250,000 Aventador S. The Roadster version of the supercar has the same V12 engine – that’ll hit 217mph if you find somewhere to legally stretch its legs.

Lamborghini has lifted the lid on its Aventador S and you can drop the rear window at the push of a button to hear the howl of the incredible V12 raging bull

Roof can be removed and stored in front boot – panels weight just 6kg

Lifting the lid means you can hear the raging bull’s 740bhp roar and there’s even a button to drop the rear window for more aural pleasure.

And you can feel the wind in your hair as you race from 0-62mph in just three seconds.

The £250,000 monster has the option to fit transparent engine body panels so you can see the 6.5-litre engine at work.

For the mega-rich Lamborghini offers its “virtually limitless” Ad Personam programme on the Aventador.

It means if the carbon fibre inserts, ocean blue paint and Alcantara interior aren’t plush enough you can personalise to your heart’s content.

On the road the Aventador S gets new four-wheel steering and suspension systems and an EGO driving mode to improve handling.

New four wheel steering and suspension system mean it’s better than ever to drive

Gear changes are machine gun fast – the flappy paddle system shifting in under 50 milliseconds – that’s six times quicker than you can blink.

The roof has to be removed manually but will store in the boot – which is actually under the bonnet – with the engine mounted at the rear.

If you’re brave enough the top speed is 217mph

And at just 6kg you won’t need to employ a body builder to help you.
If the stunning performance and gorgeous bodywork aren’t enough to entice you to open the chequebook, then Lamborghini has made sure you can actually use the car on a day-to-day basis.
Apple CarPlay is standard, there’s a digital dashboard and more buttons and gizmos on the centre console than is perhaps necessary.

It’ll be February 2018 before you can drive one – or more likely take photos of it parked behind your rich neighbours’ security gates.
